Tierra is a dry white wine produced from three grape varieties — Viura, Garnacha Blanca and Malvasía — by Bodega Tierra in the Rioja Alavesa region. After careful selection, the grapes are harvested from eight different vineyards around Labastida. Following maceration and destemming, fermentation begins in stainless-steel tanks and finishes in American and French oak barrels. The wine ages for four months in total. Two months on the lees and two months of bâtonnage give it a distinctive and unique character.
